Join us for our first Barrel Club dinner at Chaz, featuring Old Forester's Whiskey Row bottlings. Barrel Club is a new series of spirit focused dinners and tastings at Chaz. At Barrel Club, you'll have the opportunity to try different spirits from a particular distiller, region, or style, try cocktails prepared with them, and enjoy a specially created pairing menu from Executive Chef Shawn Hartwig. For our first Barrel Club dinner we'll be taking your palate on a trip into the history of Old Forester and the official spirit of the United States of America, Bourbon (a 1964 act of Congress made it so!), with a four course dinner featuring Old Forester's 1870, 1897, 1910, and 1920 bourbons along with a paired four course meal. Chaz bartender and KC's Most Eligible Voter Kenny Cohrs is creating two cocktails included with the dinner so you can sample the whiskeys on their own and as part of a balanced drink. Kenny and Brian Rosenfeld from The Hive Inc will also be on hand to talk about the bourbons and walk you through the different expressions and their place in history. And if you try something you just can't leave without, we'll have bottles on hand for purchase to take home with you.
