The Raphael Hotel’s signature restaurant, Chaz Restaurant and Lounge, is excited to announce the April features for the well-known rotating menu. Each month features a single, unique ingredient at the center of tasteful dishes created by Executive Chef David Spiven. Chaz’s Certified Sommelier, Jordan Carver, pairs an exceptional wine to complement the carefully composed plates.
The April featured ingredient is Sugar Snap Peas – firm and crisp, rounded pods with a satisfying snap to them! Often served in meals or eaten whole, sugar snap peas are rich in fiber, vitamin C and vitamin A.
The Wine of the Month is Saldo Chenin Blanc, an aromatic white wine with pleasing density and body. When enjoying, an expected delicacy and softness is balanced by just enough acidity to refresh the palate and leave you wanting more. This wine has flavors of pineapple, white peach, brown spice, and honeycrisp apple, and pairs well with the sweet taste of this month’s signature ingredient.
